Storage, Space, and Style for Everyday Baking

The project was catering to making a kitchen work for a client who loves to bake for all her friends and coworkers. She needed more storage space for baking sheets and cooling racks and a larger workspace where friends could sit while she bakes. We expanded the island, giving her more storage and the workspace she needed. The client was willing to have some fun with her backsplash, so we installed a unique lantern shape tile with beveled tiles thrown in at random to create texture and interest (glazzio tiles). We installed a new Kohler workstation sink and Alexa paired faucet with a deck mounted pot filler. The two toned kitchen helps pay tribute to the clients love for the UP with the dark wood tones while making the space feel lighter and brighter with the cream color painted upper cabinets. The addition of cabinets creates a storage space for larger appliances with installing the upper cabinets higher than standard to create space on the countertops. We also incorporated Sherwin Williams Drywall Paint (Sketch Pad Dry Erase Coating) for the client to write out new recipes to try!
